With an extensive career in the public affairs sector, he is currently responsible for the AstraZeneca office in Brussels from where he leads the EU Affairs team. He was previously the director of the Foundation and the Government Affairs team of AstraZeneca in Spain. He has also previously worked at the employers’ association EFPIA or at the pharmaceutical company Merck. Prior to joining the public affairs sector, he held various responsibilities in the public sector, highlighting his time as an advisor in the European Parliament or in the Ministry of Health.

Irene Matías

With more than 10 years of experience in the public affairs consulting sector, Irene has been General Director of the Association of Institutional Relations Professionals and Secretariat of the European Platform for Public Affairs (PACE), as well as an independent consultant. Previously, she was Managing Partner of Institutional Relations and public affairs at the consulting firm ACH Cambre and co-founder of the public affairs boutique Cambre Asociados. She has a degree in Advertising and PR and received an extraordinary 2009 Bachelor’s Award from the Complutense University of Madrid.

David Álvaro

David Álvaro

Graduate in Political Science (UCM), specialist in Public Administration. MBA and Master in Political and Business Communication. Author of opinion articles and collaborator in the media. Since 2019 he has been the director of analysis, studies and communication at ACENTO Public Affairs and teaches classes at more than half a dozen universities on political science, communication, marketing or lobbying. He is the author of the books “The Podemos Method: Marxist marketing for non-Marxist parties” (2015), “Cataluña, the construction of a story” (2019) and “Positive lobbying” (2021).

Diego Bayón

He has more than 10 years of experience in Public Affairs consulting firms such as Harmon, KREAB or Weber Shandwick. Specialized in advocacy and mobilization campaigns, he has worked on dozens of public affairs projects in areas such as mobility, food, digital policies or sustainability. He is a political scientist from the Carlos III University of Madrid, Minor in European Studies from Maastricht University, Postgraduate in Public Affairs Management from ICADE, and PLPE from the University of Deusto. He has been a Member of the APRI Board of Directors since 2019, and is a professor at different universities.

Elia Ferrer

Elia began her professional career in 2012 as Government Relations Manager for the ebay group in Paris and London. In 2014 Elia joined Uber‘s Policy team for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region where he specialized in the mobility sector. In 2016 he jumped into the world of the collaborative economy and participated in BlaBlaCar’s public affairs strategy in Spain, Italy, Mexico and Brazil. After 6 years as Senior Public Affairs Manager for the Western Europe region at FREENOW, Elia heads the Corporate Affairs department for SSE Renewables in Southern Europe.

Gerard Guiu

Lawyer and journalist. He was in institutions such as the Lleida City Council, as the mayor’s chief of staff, in the Lleida deputation, as director of the Board of Economic Promotion and in the Generalitat of Catalonia as chief of staff of the Minister of Health. He highlights his career at Barça, where he has spent more than 7 years passing through Barcelona and New York, as director of public affairs and institutional relations. He has also been director of US international business development for LLYC. He held the position of director of institutional relations and communication of the Cercle d’ Economia and is currently commissioner of the Reunió Cercle d’ Economia. Since September 2021 he has been general director of ANDEMA.

Juan Herrero

Graduate in Law and Political Sciences from the University of Valencia. He has a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and a Postgraduate Degree in Public Affairs Management from the same university. He has spent his entire career in public affairs and specifically in European affairs. Currently and since 2015 he is the Director of European Affairs at Mercadona. He represents said company on the boards of directors of EuroCommerce, a European distribution association, and of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg. He is also a substitute member of the European Economic and Social Committee.

Jaume Ríos

Jaume Ríos is Director of Public Affairs at Hill & Knowlton in the Barcelona office. There he leads accounts related to the technological field and coordinates clients with strategic interests in Catalonia.
During the years prior to joining H & K, Jaume was a partner at the public affairs firm 19N Strategies, focused on advising companies in the digital sector.
Throughout his career he has specialized in sectors such as Smart Delivery, Fintech, Proptech, Mass Consumption, Tourism and Mobility.

Responsible for the Public Affairs area of LLYC for Spain and Portugal.
With 20 years of experience in public affairs, institutional relations and communication. He specializes in widely regulated sectors such as food, climate agenda, distribution and consumption.
With a degree in Humanity and Journalism and a master’s degree in Political and Electoral Analysis, in recent years he combines his role at LLYC with teaching in lobbying and electoral analysis at the Carlos III University of Madrid, Camilo José Cela University, among others.

Nuria Masana

Graduate in Political Science and specialized in the field of social and health policies. She has developed the majority of her professional career in political cabinets at the different territorial levels of the Public Administration and in the field of socio-health consulting.

Yolanda Vega

He was part of the APRI Board of Directors until 2020. He has extensive experience in the field of public affairs, institutional relations and communication in different entities such as Médicos del Mundo and national and multinational consulting firms.
She graduated in CC. of Information, she has worked for sectors such as Food and Beverages, Consumer Affairs, Health, Logistics, Energy, as well as for Public Administration.
